Forgot to sign up during open enrollment?, or are you unhappy with your bronze plan but feel trapped because of a tax penalty? Well you're not alone a lot of people are in the same place. Its confusing and unless you are working in the insurance industry you're probably not keeping up with the day to day changes in health care regulations and the minor and major changes to the Affordable Health care Mandate.

Well first, its not to late to buy insurance. It might be too late to get insurance through Healthcare.gov aka "the Marketplace" and unless you can prove that the following apply to you or anyone in your household for the past 60 days;

Lost qualifying health coverage

Got married,

Had a baby,

Gained/became a dependent,

Got divorced or legally separated and lost health insurance Changed your primary place of living

Had a change in income

Gained legal residency in the US

Released from incarceration

If you don't qualify for the special enrollment period fear not there are still options to explore. For life's unforeseen circumstances, an insurance that offers doctor visits , preventive care, emergency room, ambulance and urgent care benefits . Healthcare Insurance such as this is what has been offered in the past (pre Obamacare) and its commonly known as major medical.

Your Insurance options include coverage up to $1,000,000. Whats more its a PPO ( Aetna PPO Open Choice) and that means you can see doctors all over the country.

So what's the catch???? PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS they are not covered and prior to the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) that was the case industry wide. So if you are in a bind and can't get coverage thru the marketplace, this is a great alternative as I've stated its not perfect but in case of an accident this will shield you from the financial distress that would most certainly occur if you needed to go to a hospital or emergency room. If you get the flu and can't wait to see your doc this insurance will pay for the majority of cost at urgent care clinics. Not to mention telemed services that can diagnose and prescribe medicines as well. No waiting time either your coverage can start as early as the next day. Interested contact us and we can see if this is right for you.
